IT Support for Warehouses and Distributors in Charlotte, NC

overview

When the scanners drop, the trucks wait

In a warehouse, IT trouble shows up as late shipments. A handheld that loses signal in the back aisles, a label printer that falls off the network, or shipping software that won’t talk to the warehouse system all slow down picking and loading. A ransomware attack can stop shipping entirely. Queen City IT Professionals supports the office, the floor and the dock as one environment: the cabling and Wi-Fi, cellular coverage, cameras and doors, the software and the backups. One accountable team owns all of it.

Projects we’ve done

  • bank-notes-2448_bd66c927-7837-4dbf-bc25-d49656dfe619

A stone supplier’s warehouse with a cellular dead zone

Wi-Fi was fine, but phones had no usable cell data inside the building. A building-wide carrier system was over budget, so we designed and installed a commercial cell booster with a roof-mounted antenna, two indoor antennas and a sealed roof penetration, plus a network drop the site needed. Cellular data now works inside the warehouse. Read the case study

A business running two locations on one network, with cameras and door access

Not a warehouse, but the same setup a distributor with more than one site needs. A two-location coworking operator needed one network, Wi-Fi, cameras and door access across both sites. We built it out over labeled cabling and consolidated credentials across both sites. Read the case study

A business connecting its operations software to AI, without exposing the data

A multi-location hospitality group wanted AI to work with its point-of-sale and accounting data. We built hosted connectors behind company sign-in, read-only for approved users, fixed connector and general-ledger errors, and validated the results with leadership. The same approach applies to warehouse, shipping and inventory systems, depending on what they allow. Read the case study

A Carolinas business switching IT providers

We scoped licensing, support, backup, onboarding and ownership up front, onboarded the company and coordinated the license transfer from the previous provider, confirmed complete. Read the case study

How we help

Support, security, strategy and implementation from one accountable team.

  • Support

Help for the people in the office and on the floor: workstations, shipping stations, label printers, handheld scanners, mobile computers, accounts and the “it’s not working” calls, plus ongoing management of devices, updates, monitoring, vendors and business phones that reach people on the floor and at every site.

  • Security

If the systems that print labels and release orders are encrypted, nothing ships. Endpoint protection with managed detection and response, email security, multi-factor authentication, patching, managed backup with restore testing and separate networks for warehouse equipment reduce the common attack paths and make recovery realistic.

  • Strategy

Getting warehouse, shipping, inventory and accounting software to share data, planning new sites so the network, phones, cameras and door access match across locations, and taking over from a previous IT provider without losing licenses, backups or ownership of accounts.

  • Implementation

Wi-Fi coverage surveys and Wi-Fi for warehouses and offices, cellular dead-zone fixes, labeled and tested cabling for shipping stations, label printers and door readers, camera coverage and door access owned by the business, and moves and expansions planned early.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can you fix weak cell signal inside a warehouse?
Often, yes. In one warehouse with good Wi-Fi but no usable cell data, we compared a building-wide system with a booster system and installed a commercial booster with roof and indoor antennas. Cellular data now works inside.

Do you install Wi-Fi for warehouses, not just offices?
Yes. We do Wi-Fi coverage surveys, then plan and install cabling, switches and access points for warehouses and offices, with separate networks for staff, guests and warehouse equipment.

Can you install cameras and door access at our warehouse?
Yes. We assess the site, including docks and exterior lots, install cameras and door access, and set them up under a business-owned account rather than an employee’s personal one.

We have more than one site. Can you run them as one network?
Yes. We plan the network, Wi-Fi, cameras and door access across locations so credentials and support are consistent, as we did for a two-location operator.

How do you protect a distributor from ransomware?
With layered protection: endpoint detection and response, email security, multi-factor authentication, patching and managed backups with restore testing. No one can promise a breach won’t happen, but these steps reduce the common attack paths and make recovery realistic.

Can you manage our handheld scanners and tablets?
Yes. We enroll handheld scanners, mobile computers and tablets in MDM, lock them down, push apps and updates, and remotely wipe a device if it’s lost.
